Business Outline
Civil Engineering and Construction Equipment Division
Advanced technologies for "safety and security" to protect people's lives and property.
Our seismic isolation and vibration control technologies, developed as a leading manufacturer of bearings for bridges, constitute risk engineering for the safety and security of civil engineering facilities including bridges and roads public facilities such as schools and hospitals, office buildings, condominiums, and other structures. Additionnally, such engineering expertise contribute to protect the lives and property of the people who live and work in those facilities. The Kawakin Holdings Group integrates the technological capabilities of each Group company to develop and manufacture highly reliable, world-class products.
Contents
Devices for bridges
(seismic isolation and vibration control devices, value-added products, and maintenance products for bridges)
Seismic isolation technology that combines safety, maintainability, and environmental resistance.
Since the 1995 Hanshin Earthquake, we have developed numerous high-performance seismic isolation rubber bearings. We supply the most adapted products with the optimal material, supporting all sizes, applications, and structural configurations. We have an extensive lineup covering nearly all seismic isolation and vibration control products including steel bearings, rubber bearings, dampers, unseating prevention devices, and expansion joints. Our products are highly regarded both in Japan and overseas for their proven safety and reliability.
Devices for Buildings
(seismic isolation and vibration control measures for buildings)
Innovative seismic isolation and vibration control technologies that take into consideration the comfort and design of buildings
We have developed innovative seismic prevention technologies, such as the 'Advanced Vibration Control System,' which efficiently reduces building displacement and acceleration caused by earthquakes and strong winds, suppressing building damage and furniture overturning, and improving overall seismic resislience. We also utilize our advanced expertise to develop and manufacture seismic devices such as seismic isolators, oil dampers for fixed-based and seismically isolated buildings, multi-base support systems, viscous wall dampers, and seismic reinforcement components.
As a leading manufacturer of seismic isolation devices for bridges, we promote the consolidation of our group's technological expertise, advanced research and development, and the exploration of new applications in the field of seismic isolation and vibration control technologies. We are taking on the challenge of life cycle innovation to revolutionize infrastructure technology for social and urban infrastructure, and we are contributing to public safety by safeguarding life and property.
In 2012, leveraging advanced technology and extensive experience, Kawakin Core-Tech established a manufacturing plant near Hanoi, Vietnam. Focusing on Vietnam and ASEAN countries, we aim to contribute to infrastructure development and provide high-quality, low-cost products tailored to the needs of the region.
As an integrated production trading company that handles seismic isolation and vibration control devices, Nonagase provides support in various stages, from product ordering and delivery, to selection of manufacturers and models, installation, and after-sales service.
Dynamic Isolation Systems, a pioneer in the field of seismic isolation products, was established in 1982 in Nevada, USA. They have a track record of supplying products around the world including the U.S. and Japan. The company manufactures and sells seismic isolation devices, viscous wall dampers, and non-structural isolation systems. They also provide technical design services. Their products are widely used in buildings such as hospitals, universities, and data centers as well as bridges.
